Planning a meeting, special event or tour can sometimes
be challenging. The Craven County Convention & Visitors
Center offers an extensive array of services to groups.
Our staff will help cover your needs by assisting with
group-related activities. If a service is not listed
here, please feel free to ask!
CUSTOMIZED BID PROPOSAL
The bureau produces leads to area accommodations, prepares
bid packages and provides planning assistance to potential
groups. Local hospitality representatives are constantly
updated on group sales and status.
PLANNERS KIT
The Inquiries and sales contacts interested in bringing
a group to Craven County are provided with a meeting
planners kit including the Visitors bureau’s services
sheet, maps, brochures and visitors guides.
SITE VISITS
We will arrange and plan your site visit, from accommodations
to attractions to meals. Planning meetings with area
representatives can also be arranged during your site
visit.
ITINERARIES
Sample itineraries are available at the Craven County
Convention & Visitors Center and can be customized upon
your group's request. Loop Tour and other cooperative
itineraries are also available.
VISITORS GUIDES AND OTHER AREA
INFORMATION
Visitors guides, maps and other brochures are available
to be mailed to you ahead of time for inclusion in registration
packages.
VIDEOS/PHOTOS
The Craven County Convention & Visitors Center produces
a video on New Bern and Craven County. A copy of the
video is available upon special request.Photos and slides
are also available for use in print materials.
TOUR/ACTIVITY PLANNING
We provide assistance in planning activities such as
tours, scavenger hunts, sailing, golf, bowling, fishing,
picnics, off-site receptions and more!
SPOUSE/KIDS PROGRAMS
Let the Craven County Convention & Visitors Center assist
with coordinating special group activities for children
or spouses.
ENTERTAINMENT REFERRALS
We offer entertainment referrals for your group. From
country to beach, disc jockeys to live bands.
"WELCOME" TABLE
The bureau will set up a table near your registration
area, in a hospitality room or outside your meeting
room, to include area attraction and dining information.
A welcome sign is also provided.
WELCOME PACKAGES
Welcome letters from local officials, post cards, maps
and other information can be gathered into a welcome
package for guests.
GREETERS
The Craven County Convention & Visitors Center offers
assistance in greeting your group with a welcome address
from a visitors bureau representative, the chamber of
commerce, the Mayor of the city or other city officials.
